It has been a long time coming, so today I am pleased to share my conversation with Brendan Rogers over at The Culture of Things podcast.
The Culture of Things podcast is a platform used to discuss all things culture, leadership and teamwork across business and sport. This opportunity has given me the chance to chat on a topic I feel very strongly about which is Leading in a World of Change.
It is imperative to remember that the process of executing change isn’t perfect but, in an ever-changing environment we all have to adjust and reframe how we view the world. The process of people accepting change begins by reminding them of their story, experiences and history of successful changes they have previously accomplished – establishing a positive mindset is key.
The lens through which I see the world is a direct reflection of my childhood history in the Pacific Island of Samoa; the invaluable experience of simple living in a grass hut and running around without shoes. It includes lessons learnt during my successful career so far, as well as many personal adventures – especially setting off as a family around Australia in a 4X4 caravan.
During our conversation Brendan and I discuss the importance of understanding why the desired ‘change’ is important and highlight some of the key fundamentals which are involved with successful implementation.
